My 11th B-Day Party

I had my tropical birthday party on Aug. 15, 2009.
Here is my flip-flops cake from Albertson's. Isn't it cute?

When my friends arrived we made leis as a craft for us and for our American Dolls.
You can see the cute leis we made for us and the dolls.

After the craft we played some games outside. We first started with the sponge relay. Both teams tied. Everyone is a winner in the Gonzalez Home!
The next game we played was the Toss the Water Balloon Game. Katya and I were the winners.
The last game we played was Hot Water Balloon. The picture below is really funny since my mom accidentally popped the water balloon on me.
Next we had a treasure hunt around the house. We needed to use our sleuthing skills to figure out the clues. The treasure was hidden in the refrigerator in a clam shell. Inside was dolphin necklaces for all of my friends and me. That was a lot of fun!
We ate pizza, grapes, chips, and drank volcano punch (the parties signature drink).

Then the girls sang Happy Birthday to me and we had cake and ice cream.
I opened the presents that were given to me from the girls. I loved all my presents!

Overall the party was a blast! But the best part was meeting up with my friends before school started. My mom and dad throw the best parties!

Daddy/Daughter Dance 4-25-09

Tonight we went to the Daddy/Daughter Dance at St. Vincent's. It was so much fun.

My mom did my hair. Here is a picture of what I looked like from the front and the back.

My dad got me a corsage just like last year. It was a Spring Corsage to match the outdoors.

Here is a picture of my dad and I when we arrived at the Masquerade Ball.

We made masks as a craft project. Aren't our mask pretty.

We also ate and danced for a long time. Here I am dancing the YMCA.

We had so much fun! I cannot wait until next year. What will the theme be?

Christian Conduct Award (4-21-09)

It was really nice for me since both my parents were there when my name was called out for Christian Conduct for the 3rd Quarter. I hope I can continue earning these since I have received one ever since Kindergarten.

Date with the Mad Matter

I went to a Girl Scout event with my mom on April Fool's Day. It was called the Mad Matter Surprise Event. When we arrived we had to choose what items of food we wanted to eat for each of our 4 courses. The only problem was that we had no clue what the food was since the items on the menu were Tea Party in the Sky and other silly names like that one.
This is my mom and I eating our 1st course which was: meatballs, ranch dressing, applesauce, and cheese. We had to eat that or at least try to eat it otherwise we could not get our 2nd course. By the way we had no utensils until we had order them oon our secret menu. The rest of the night was very similar. Different combinations of foods that we had chosen but had no clue since we were not given a real menu.
My troop leader , Mrs. Porter, was at this event. She was our server. My mom and I had a blast! But we sure had stomachaches afterwards since eating all those items of food at different times sure does a number on your tummy.
