Saint Anastasia Report

I had to write a one page report on my favorite saint this week. I choose St. Anastasia because I am named after her. There is not a lot of stuff written on her that is why she was so hard to write about. But I learned many important facts, such as, the Romans at first were not Christian. They killed many people that were Christians in very sad ways. St. Anastasia was a Christian and helped Christain martyrs that were in prison. She had great faith in Christ and never gave up her beliefs even when she was being burned to death. My saint's feast day is December 25th. Before December 25th was celebrated as Christ's birth it was used to honor St. Anastasia. She is still recognized in the 2nd Mass on Christmas Day. She is also mentioned in the Canon of the Catholic Mass. I hope that we can go to the 2nd Mass this year for Christmas to celebrate my favorite saint's feast day.

First Aid Girl Scout Meeting

On Friday, 10/17/08, a Firefighter came to my Girl Scout Troop. He taught us how to do C.P.R. on babies and children my age. We also learned what to do if a child gets a cut. That is me with my ace band-aid learning what to do if you get a cut.

I got to try on a firefighter suit. It is very heavy. Fact: The firefighter suit weighs about 80 pounds. Now that's real heavy, right?

It was so much fun to learn what to do in dangerous situations. Fire-Fighter Chris was awesome. Thank you for teaching us!

After the meeting I had a play-date with Lauren. We had a lot of fun putting on a play for Halloween that my parents saw.

Girl Scouts Service Project

Today we had a Girl Scout meeting to work on our Bronze Medal. We planted a tree and made wishes with wishing rocks in St. Vincent de Paul Church by the Benvegnu center. My wish was that the world would stop having so many wars.
I did this with a Daisy troop my partner was Katellynn. She is also my Kindergarten buddy. After we finished planting the tree we played Red Rover with the Daisy troop in order to earn the Leadership Badge from the Girl Scouts. That is also a part of the Bronze Award.

Dynamic Dioramas

This week the dioramas were due. Mine was done on the book named Shiloh. I worked for several days on it. I am very proud of it. We also started practices for Molly Mouse. I play one of Molly's friends at the beginning and end of the ballet. I perform every night. I am really excited to dance this part.
